FIFA has released a FIFA+ COLLECT CLUB VIP MEMBERSHIP.

The membership status unlocks a list of unique benefits:

  1. Preferential access to FIFA+ Collect releases and more
  2. Guaranteed right to purchase a ticket for the newly expanded FIFA Club World Cup 2025 ™
  3. Opportunity to get two tickets for the final of the FIFA World Cup 2026 ™ (December 26 Airdrop)
  4. Opportunity to get two tickets for the final of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 ™ (December 26 Airdrop)
  5. First 100 numbered VIP badges ever for a football fans community of over 5 Billion

The most bullish thing? Is that now all the football federations of the world as well as all the clubs, can freely use FIFA+ Collect to launch their own collections for their fans. The Romanian Football Federation is the first federation to officially join the FIFA Collect platform. I expect every federation will join eventually.

Additionally, it seems that FIFA has every reason to bring ticketing on chain forever and take a cut of every secondary ticket sale ever sold. We may soon see tickets being sold on the marketplace.

You can see the FIFA NFTs being minted on chain here:

  1. Is this the FIFA+ thing they launched on Algorand couple of years ago? Back when it launched you couldn’t transfer NFTs to your own wallet after purchase, they were just tied to your account created on FIFA website. If you still can’t do transfers to your wallet then it’s pointless, they didn’t need a blockchain if you can’t take true ownership of purchased items.

  2. I bought some of these NFT’s when they first released, guarantee they’re still worth nothing

  3. Has anybody gone through the steps to earn a right to buy tix? It involves buying first-timers tickets packs, having the right to”moments” to satisfy several “challenge” requirements… curious how much people are spending to go through those steps

  4. On Algorand!

And it’s still in its infancy. Soccer is the biggest sport over the world. So lots of upside.

And they recently invited clubs & countries to make their own collections.

  5. A lot of things need time to develop.

NFT was obviously an amazing use of tech that, like anything, got swarmed by quick money folk, wash traders and scammers but underneath it all the tech is still great.

We will see a lot of amazing platforms that actually make sense thrive in the next couple of years. Collectors and tickets are a no brainer.

Also it’s cool the way NFTs are handled on their site where basically no one needs to know anything about Blockchain. It’s a simple collecting site but you can also transfer your asset to your wallet if you are a bit more savvy.

Also it’s kinda good that NFT on Algorand is an asset by itself and not some kind of contract so it’s much easier to transfer it and sell it. Super simple stuff.

  6. Great and very informative post, thank you!
There’s definitely massive potential! To own the highlight of some of the most iconic moments in history will be valueless for football fans.

We have seen the success of Chilliz and I believe if FIFA & Algo keep going in a similar direction as they are now these highlights will sell for more than $50,000. Especially the memed ones (I’ve got my eyes on that pikachu face lampard after the disallowed goal vs. Germany).

If they keep integrating this FIFA Collect with specific location rewards eg. 2026 game England vs. America in Toronto: get free entry into the FIFA vip fan club/museums etc. Furthermore, the opportunity to pre purchase tickets is also vital.

If any of you have purchased tickets on FIFAs website before – you’ll know that the initial ticket distribution is a lucky dip. Only in later rounds do you get access to actually buy the tickets for the team you follow. Key cities and top international clubs sell out in mins. This is even more important because the WC in 2026 will be in America.

Each ticket purchased provides a visa for the holder + benefits such as free transport, entry into museums etc. As many of you know, for some countries it is very difficult to get a visa to the US. Many will use this option to travel and I don’t blame them. Can you imagine travelling city to city watching the football and getting to check out America at the same time.

Anyway, I’ve smashed £100 in and will try timing one of the airdrops. Knowing FIFA, I guess they will sellout within the minute, but here’s to trying.
Has anybody had any success in the past?
