  4. The most important thing you can possibly put money into over the next 1-2 years is crypto. If you don’t know about crypto, LEARN ALL YOU CAN AND START INVESTING. Thank me later.

    Sounds like they did take a "principled stance", just not the confrontational, own foot shooting, contrarian one you'd prefer. This is how "regulation" and compliance works in the world of grown ups.
    Stamping your feet or threatening to hold your breath like a child denied candy throwing a tanty is not how crypto will move regulators. Least of all at this early stage in crypto adoption.
