Cash not accepted…

Will everything around the world priced in Sats?n👀

I just got back from South Africa There are quite a fewthings I noticed. but the 1 thing that most stood outwas that no one accepts cash… anywhere!

The second thing I noticed is that their money is worth less and less every day. I'd look up reviews from a month ago and see the menu items have almost doubled in price. Locals told me the same. They have a serious inflation issue.

I wonder what people will be paying with in the future? 🤔

  1. No cash, no money to steal. Better. This is incentivized by the crime rate, probably at the expense of convenience to shoppers and the shop owner.

  2. No cash but card meaning they want full control over every transaction and everything realted to money. This is nothibg to celebrate except if they all say “no cash only btc” but i dont think so.

  3. Money printing lead to decrease the value of the dollars= Cash is trash. Noone wants to hold on something that is less valuable.

  4. Most of you guys are missing the point. The future has no need for paper money. It makes absolutely zero sense. It will be digital and that’s great, because cash is inconvenient and just way worse. Like it or not that’s just a fact, not an opinion.

The important point here is that the future digital currency should be global, decentralized and uniform.

  5. I’m sorry but this is not true. Almost every place accepts cash, except the post office. Almost NOBODY accepts btc. Sad but true

  6. There’s a video on YouTube of a guy going into a well known U.K. supermarket.

They only to take cards, no cash.

He refuses to pay by card, and leaves the cash on the counter while shouting it’s “legal tender” and they must accept it (which is true)***.

It’s kinda funny but also sad. The powers that be want to remove cash from the public as then everything is on a ledger and recorded, via the banks (hence they hate Bitcoin, as tho it’s too a ledger, it’s out of their control).

I’ll edit this post later if I can find the video.

***Edit: as someone has rightly pointed out, it’s actually not illegal in the U.K. for a business to refuse cash (which shows the direction we’re heading in).

  7. These wankers appearing more and more. My local favourite restaurant, been a customer for years, just went ‘cashless’. Reason: cash carries diseases. Twats. No longer a customer as with many others.

  8. I rarely use cash but I don’t like shopping at places that don’t accept cash.
