What is happening with Solana now?

Hey guys, have you heard that: “The Solana Network is currently experiencing degraded performance due to an increase in high compute transactions, which is reducing network capacity to several thousand transactions per second. This is leading to some failed transactions for users.”

I would like to hear your opinion on this matter. And also ask a question, maybe Solana is not a real “Ethereum killer”, since it cannot cope with a large number of transactions, and this title is claimed by, for example, NEAR Protocol which has sharding and is already ready for a heavy load on the network?

  1. Solana is really embarrassing honestly, first time it was just a mistake but for it to happen this second time is totally unacceptable, it’s not the eth killer after all 🥲,Near protocol on the other hand seems like a pretty decent blockchain since it has sharding live on it, It shouldn’t be hard for it to withstand any load of transactions.

  2. SQLana needs a full vacuum run… as any other SQL database!

    This takes time and resources.

  3. I can’t understand how SOL is going to stay alive when real adoption comes from the masses…
Definitely will take a big bag out of SOL putting it into solid stuff like FTM or NEAR.

  4. Same thing that is happening to the rest of the market. Its turning bear. Sol is down over $100 from its ATH. Once btc breaks below 40k its going to be a sea of red.

  5. First, Solana is cheap which makes it easy to deploy countless blank transactions and overload its network. I’m sure they’ll figure out a way to prevent this in the future.

Second, there is no such thing as an “Ethereum Killer”. Ethereum has more total value locked in and generates more revenue than Solana, Binance, Avalanche, Luna, Polkadot, Cardano, Matic, Fantom, Tron, Elrond, and Algorand combined.

  6. > maybe Solana is not a real “Ethereum killer”

only idiots ever believed this, Solana is centralized garbage that doesn’t work and it’s not even crypto.

The only things ethereum killers seem to kill is themselves and it has been like that for years.

Sure you can make some short term gains on these “ETH killers” but in the long term they will just go away and ETH will stay.

I don’t hold eth nor am I an ETH maxi but if you’re objective for a moment you’ll see how all of them can’t compare to ETH

  7. SOl started quickly but seems to be slow now

NEAR slowed down at first, but now it seems to be accelerating)

  8. I feel like this is lining up Cardano perfectly. Cardano is ready for an extremely high volume of transactions

  9. Why are you not worried about the network shutting down? There’s a lot bigger issues you should be worried IMO!

  10. Damn a stable coin (USDC) just pass Solana… I think Solana just flat lined lmao

  11. People will definitely be kicking themselves in regrets for missing the opportunity to buy and invest in cryptocurrency.
