I recently got a new iphone and want to transfer my MEW wallet to my new phone. I have both iPhones with me.
When I opened the MEW app on my new phone, I got a notification asking if I wanted to transfer my existing wallet to my new phone. I said yes and it asked for my PIN, but did not let me progress even though I'm 100% sure my PIN was entered correctly. I know this because on both phones I get prompted to enter my PIN when I open the app and my PIN works there.
I then tried deleting my account and app on both phones and re-downloading MEW on my new phone only to then use my recovery phrase to import my account to my new phone only. When I redownloaded MEW in my new phone, I was not given the UI option to recover a wallet with my seed phrase, only the option to create a new wallet. Trying to create a new wallet then prompts me for my PIN, which does not get accepted. So I’m not even able to create a new wallet on my new phone. On my old phone I re downloaded MEW and was able to successfully recover my wallet with the UI option to recover a wallet.
I contacted support and followed their instructions exactly but they stopped responding.
Does anyone have any other ideas for how I might be able to use MEW on my new phone? Has anyone else run into this issue? I haven’t found any other posts about this.
