I'm getting the issue where I can log into the MEW Wallet app using my PIN but then the app won't accept my PIN to do anything else (e.g. to make a transaction). From reading this sub, it looks like the solution is to remove my account from the app and use the seed phrase to restore it. However, I seem to have lost my seed, so that's a no-go.
I can still use MEW Wallet to log into MEW Web. And I'm assuming I can use MEW Web to make a transaction, although I haven't tried that yet. So would it theoretically work to do the following?
- Transfer my funds somewhere else, such as an exchange account or a Metamask wallet.
- Remove my MEW wallet.
- Create a new MEW wallet.
- Transfer my funds back in.
- Make multiple copies of my new seed phrase and be double-triple-extra sure I remember what safe places I store them in.
