We are excited to announce r/CryptoCurrency_Tech! This subreddit will be dedicated to news about crypto technology, technical guides, and serious discussion. For those looking for a crypto subreddit that is not overrun with market discussion or memes, this is the place for you!
As you may know, r/CC was previously networked with r/ CryptoTechnology for this same purpose. Unfortunately the top mod there returned from a 2.5 year absence to sever ties with the mod team and the r/CryptoCurrency network. The TL;DR is that he violated our core principles, undermined our team, and when we sought a better resolution to the matter he removed the entire mod team. We want you to be informed about the change, but do not wish to dwell on the drama. Do not harass anyone involved or brigade r/CT, both are bannable offenses. Please see the pinned post in CCT for further details, questions, or discussion.
r/CryptoCurrency_Tech includes the entire active mod team and most of the same rules. We will now be able to be more lax on things like technical guides and technical news like about the Ethereum Merge. We will have the benefit of continued networking with r/CC including shared AMAs, moderation intel and efforts, bots, and spam protections. In the future we may explore further integrations like flairing verified crypto industry professionals or perhaps moon rewards for great posts like we have done with r/CryptoCurrencyMemes.
