This sub is not a place to grind your axe

Do you have actionable, concrete evidence of someone doing something wrong within the Bitcoin community? Do you want to help prevent people from being harmed by an ongoing scam? Are you able to lay out the evidence dispassionately, without breaking any Reddit ToS or rbtc rules?

Then your content is welcome in this sub.

Is this a personal issue and not something that directly affects the greater community? Is this about something that happened years ago and not an ongoing, present danger? Do you have many claims but little evidence? Are you emotional and exaggerating? Are you going to break the rules? Should you be in a courtroom instead of a chatroom?

Your post will be removed without a warning.

Does your post kinda cross the lines from A to B? Is there anything remotely suspicious about the account that created it?

It's probably going to get removed too.

As mods we are not and cannot be responsible for litigating the facts of any dispute. This places us in a serious bind when it comes to accusations of personal wrongdoing. If we allow accusations to stand, then we may be helping the attacker to harm the other party. If we take down accusations, then we appear to be protecting the other party or complicit in a wrongdoing.

As a general rule, the anti-harassment rule comes into play. If the post appears to be primarily a public service announcement, it may be allowed to stay up. If it appears to be primarily a witch hunt, it must be removed. If it's unclear, then it must be treated as a witch hunt.

Hopefully this provides clear guidelines for any future posters with axes to grind. We don't want to be in the position of enabling scammers, but we also can't be in the position of allowing targeted harassment. If you have something to say, make sure nobody can construe it as harassment.

Thanks.
