If someone can, please explain what's happening. 24 hours ago I used this wallet with no issues, and now Im not allowed access to my manager or any services on it, what am I supposed to do if the application refuses to work? Wait?

Try a different usb cable and a different usb port.
you need ledger live for software updates and that, but there are many software wallets that can allow you to safely interact with your wallets already on the ledger if you need.
re-install the application
Did you change settings on the ledger or install a firmware update.
Is Bluetooth off?
What does device manager say?
Uninstall the software, goto ledger.com and download again, ONLY from their site. Then connect again. Also, make sure you are using the right cable
My ledger only works when I have it plug in so we all have issues now a days.
