Someone hacked secondary official Fortnite account with 2 million followers, they put out a tweet promoting fake token telling Fortnite Twitter followers to send them ETH for fake presale… And in the end they managed to make (steal) a whooping … 0.07 ETH ($139)

So there's a story on this sub about how Fortnite's account got hacked and someone promoted their crypto like it's a big deal, so out of curiosity I went and found uncensored image of that deleted tweet and then checked the linked wallet address from the image wanting to know how much did that person manage to steal since it didn't say anything in the article attached and image of the tweet was censored.

After quick digging turns out that this hacker didn't do much damage. Only one person sent them some ETH to that wallet and that was 0.07 ETH transfer, which accounted to like $139 worth of ETH.

This is address of the hacker who put out this address https://etherscan.io/address/0xDa7d737c9c08A5868f0bb2B840Cb4c44a9bd782e

The account that sent it to that wallet is some person that holds the shittiest of shitcoins on their account https://zapper.xyz/account/0xd5f55d853bf3eddc0104a06482178e11d53bc788 . Currently that person has $350ish worth of solely shitcoins like BabyDoge and some other shitcoins that have weird names, which is I guess the type of person that would just send crypto to some random address promising them something in return for some reason. Still sad they lost 0.07 ETH, but damage could've been much worse when trying to scam an audience of young kids.

  1. The hacker couldve easily collabed with Bitboy instead and they wouldve made tons of money

  2. The hacker apparently has completed and secured his retirement mission with just 0.07 ETH

  3. Well at least that’s a small loss.

For comparison, the person who hijacked Orbiter’s Discord server managed to phish over $450k in the 24-hour period they had control over it.

  4. No surprise lol. Fortnite users are all 12, clueless, and get $5 a week that they spend on candy.

  5. Now I know even Fortnite’s Twitter followers are generally smarter than Bitboy’s and ben.eth’s

  6. The average Fortniter isn’t the average crypto user.

A message like this isn’t in line with their normal branding. It wouldn’t feel quite right.

If this was the takeover of a crypto influencer account it would have been a different story.

  7. Just checked their Twitter handle and it looks like control over the account has been restored and the tweet has been deleted. Guessing this was done promptly enough before anyone fell for this scam as there are no other transfers to the address mentioned. Fucking scammers are going quite the extra mile these days, if only they put their skills to good use.

  8. The good old “send me money and i might send you something back”. I’m glad people are not that ignorant anymore.

  9. Badly executed. If he did it more professionally it would definitely work better.

  10. That’s a lot if they’re from a third world country, if not I bet they’re suicidal

  11. Well that’s because Fortnite users are all playing Fortnite, not hanging out on twitter

  12. Sucks that all we hear recently are hacked Twitter accounts and crypto scams but at least it seems people are starting to learn

  13. The Fortnite community is not known for its massive amount of ETH whales. 🙂

  14. Kids are not really in crypto for some reason, mostly because they have no money on their own I think.

Crypto and Onlyfans are not a kid business.

  15. It’s NOT hacked.. Twitter could get hacked as a whole. This account is just COMPROMISED. Because people are not careful with their credentials.

  16. He really shouldn’t have put a minimum, I guess fortniters really do hate crypto

  17. Turns out if you try and scam people to invest money, 8 year olds probably shouldn’t be your target victims

  18. 2 things. 1 age group and the other is age group

The age group likely ran into many scams so it is hard to scam us compared to other groups. Like dyor research

And to top that off I wonder what is the age group that follows their Twitter profile.

  19. Some random influencer posts saying give me eth. No scam no token. Makes like 500k. Someone hacks fortnite account. Makes 100 bucks.
