Ledger Live Now Supports Arbitrum and Optimism Accounts

Hi everyone πŸ‘‹

We're excited to announce that starting today, you can easily create Arbitrum and Optimism accounts using Ledger Live. This feature is available on both mobile and desktop versions.

To take full advantage of this feature, please ensure that your Ledger Live app is up-to-date:

To assist you in getting started, we have prepared comprehensive guides:

  • For Arbitrum users: https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/10848598919965-Arbitrum?support=true
  • For Optimism users: https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/10848914243229-Optimism?support=true

Your Arbitrum/Optimism accounts can store ETH and ERC20 tokens (including $OP and $ARB), just like a standard Ethereum (ETH) account.

When transferring funds to Arbitrum/Optimism from an exchange, please ensure that you select the correct address and network to ensure that your assets reach the intended account. You can learn more about this in our guide:

  1. It would be nice if the release notes at: https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020773319-What-s-new-in-Ledger-Live-?docs=true

were updated so people could review exactly what is included. The page currently show’s the previous version (2.58.0).

Also, could we get some clarification on which versions of the Nano X firmware contain the Recover mechanism?

    thank you

  2. Thanks for this update, it’s really important for the strength of the community right now to be focused on exposing as many users as possible to Ethereum L2!

  3. I don’t think this update worked, Ledger. I cannot install ARB or OPT and I have the latest version of Ledger. (Version 2.58.0)

  4. Awesome guys!
