I’ve never seen a scam like this before. How did this happen?

Here’s the token below:

https://bscscan.com/token/0xF8517d35119617f413845beC155D9D426d8Cca39

It’s a scam token, I know. But I was able to successfully purchase it and then the tokens, after one minute, were sent to a null address without any action by me.

How is this possible?

  1. Please note that PancakeSwap (or any wallet service) DOES NOT provide support through direct messages.

There are multiple scams targeting crypto users and you should NEVER, under any circumstances, share your wallet seed
phrase or any personal information with anyone online!

    Keep yourself safe:

    1. Never click on any unverified links.
    2. Never share your private keys or seed phrases.
    3. Reporting all suspicious users.
    4. Be suspicious of everything – do your own research!

  2. Maybe that’s what the contract is for, that’s why I’m pretty sure you got a warning before buying.

  3. When you were buying that scam token, you approved a smart contract aquisition that after approving, has fully access to your wallet

  4. A token is just a smart contract that keeps track of everyone’s balances. A token could easily be programmed to allow unusual kinds of transactions (e.g. “admin send” command that allows a certain account to transfer from any account to any other account). I didn’t check if it was the case for this token.
