Did you try the Venom testnet and what are your thoughts on this chain in general?

Venom testnet launched a few days ago and I only wanted to give it a testrun out of curiosity but they seem to have quests that may or may not bring some rewards down the road.

I usually wouldn’t speculate on testnets but Venom has a lot of VC backing and seems to be the only regulatory compliant blockchain out there.

Just looking for thoughts on Venom in general and in case anyone needs help with the testnet quests I found this great guide that leads you thought the whole process.

  1. I wouldn’t write it off early, it seems like a promising project. I like the testnet program but couldn’t get more tokens daily to proceed.

But Like you have mentioned, it’s backed by several and big VC, it’s worth taking the risk.

  2. The testnet quests are easy and I wouldn’t miss the opportunity for anything. I’m going from memory here but I think Venom has something like $1B in funding behind it.

    Expecting big things for sure.

  3. I did give it a try, some of it was a bit glitchy. I didn’t go looking for a way to give feedback… Probably I should.

  4. Venom has a lot of potential imo. As you said, they are easy to work with if your Dapp needs to be regulatory compliant.

Independent devs may not need this as much but I know a ton of companies are waiting on the sidelines to start building on blockchains. The only thing preventing them from starting is fear of regulation.

  5. Testnet rewards are nice, especially with APTOS.

But I was reluctant to try this Venom the moment I saw a tweet saying the community rewards will be vested for 90 months. I’m looking into Weaver Labs & wallet hack now as they will both have rewards for early adopters/testers too.

Hopefully, this will be worth it. I will check out the guide.
