Hello, new to collecting Avatars and have a few questions. Question #1 I installed Metamask and selected Polygon Mainnet, and also connected my Wallet. Is this the correct Network for buying from Opensea? Question #2 I see an option to buy MATIC with Google Pay, and also to buy MATIC with a CC also. Seems pretty direct, but is there any reason I shouldn't? Question #3 If I purchase MATIC through either of these options do I have to convert them to ETH? Thanks in advance. I'm quite new to this.

Never share your Secret Recovery Phrase with any site or a person. MetaMask does not use Gmail or web forms. Do not enter your Secret Recover Phrase into a pop-up window, even if it looks like MetaMask. Verify links are legitimate. Scammers often use these tactics.

I dont see anything wrong with this. You only have to convert to WETH if the item requires for payment (im assuming these are on the Polygon Chain).
The only reason not to is just personal preference & if you are concerned about your info possible being stored with the third party and their security. Me for example, I have a personal Cash App, so ill use a portion of those funds + physical USD to fund my accounts. Ill buy BTC, then send to Kraken to diversify, then its either straight to Ledger, or Metamask for NFT purchases or altcoins. It is a bit much, but thats if you wanted to give yourself more security, and exposure to new projects
Currency depends on chain and the specific collection.
Some are eth on Ethereum, some are eth on polygon, some are matic on poly.
You can choose the chain when you’re browsing collections on OS.
